Cindy was born in Santa Fe, NM and raised in Japan, New York and Los
Angeles. Her parents knew she had a musical future when at age 5 she wrote a
song on her little keyboard called The Aku-Aku Foot Disease (OK, a strange
musical future...)
She took a detour into acting at UCLA’s Theater, Film & Television
department, but she soon found herself playing piano for everything on
campus and writing songs for theater productions. Meanwhile she was honing
her pop & rock chops playing and singing in a bunch of bands you’ve never
heard of in L.A. clubs.
Currently she divides her time between playing and writing music. As a
keyboard player she has played everything from classical concerts to rock &
roll to techno. She started playing with Pat Benatar in May of 2000 and it
is her favorite gig so far! In the theater world she has written several
musicals, which have been performed throughout the USA and for which she has
won 3 ASCAP Pop Performance Awards. Her musical All That He Was has been
presented at the Kennedy Center and at the Festival of the Human Voice in
Barcelona.
